How does pricing work?
The base rate includes up to four guests. Each additional guest is $35 per person, per night. Enter the complete guest count when booking so the total is accurate. There is no separate cleaning fee.
Is the property suitable for parties?
No. Sandy River's Hush is at the end of a quiet road in a peaceful community. Loud parties are not permitted, and quiet hours are 10 p.m. to 8 a.m.
Can we host a retreat or small gathering?
We think the property is a wonderful setting for small retreats and gatherings, from yoga and wellness weekends to book clubs and workshops. We would love to hear what you have in mind. Please share your plans with us before booking so we can make sure the space is a good fit and confirm the details together.
Are dogs allowed?
Yes. Up to two dogs are welcome, with one flat $75 pet fee per stay. Please include your dog or dogs in your reservation so the fee is reflected accurately.
Is there a TV?
Yes. The property's only TV is a smart TV in the detached bunkhouse, with most standard streaming apps available for you to log into. There is no cable or TV in the main cabin. The bunkhouse also has a PlayStation with some games included.
Where is smoking or vaping allowed?
Please do not smoke or vape inside the cabin, bunkhouse, or garage, or on the deck or front porch. Please dispose of cigarette butts safely and keep them off the grounds and away from the river.
Are there cameras on the property?
Yes. Four exterior cameras are located around the property: one faces the driveway, one monitors the front-door entrance, and one faces the area behind the detached bunkhouse. A fourth is mounted on the back deck and faces away from the house toward the river so we can check river levels and wildlife. The exterior cameras record video only; audio recording is disabled. There are no indoor cameras.
Can everyone access the river?
The river sits about 40 to 50 feet below the cabin. In summer, the riverbank can be an incredible part of the stay for guests who feel steady and confident on uneven terrain. The private trail is steep and rough, with loose dirt and rocks, so it is not a simple walk from the cabin and will not be comfortable for everyone. The trail should not be used in winter. Conditions vary with weather and river levels, and all river access is at your own risk.
What is provided for the fireplace and grills?
Seasonal firewood is provided when wood fires are permitted. The property includes charcoal, smoker and propane grilling options, but guests should confirm current fuel and fire-restriction details before arrival.
What is included in the kitchen?
The kitchen includes cookware, pantry basics, a Nespresso machine and pods, coffee beans, an air fryer, Instant Pot and griddle.
Where does everyone eat?
Indoor dining seats six, with additional cozy seating areas. The outdoor gazebo has picnic-table seating for up to 12, plus the deck has rocking chairs, a bar table and stools.
